Road Safety for children

Road Safety for children

PCSO Detheridge recently attended Knowsley Junior School following a request from the school to help educate pupils about road safety and accident prevention.

During an assembly, pupils were given important road safety advice covering safe journeys to and from school, the correct use of crossing patrols, staying on pavements, wearing seat belts correctly, road markings around school gates, and keeping safe when riding bikes and scooters.

The visit was very well received by both staff and pupils, and the school kindly featured the session in its newsletter. It is encouraging to see schools and Greater Manchester Police working together to promote safety awareness and help young people develop safe habits that can prevent accidents and keep them safe in their local community.

PCSO Detheridge would like to thank Knowsley Junior School for the warm welcome and looks forward to supporting similar educational events in the future.
